Beginning Nov. 30, students and staff at the University of Central Florida can take a RedCoach bus to Miami and back for the weekend on the company’s new route.
The bus service will leave the Libra Garage at UCF on Fridays at 11:25 a.m. and make stops at West Palm Beach and Fort Lauderdale before arriving at Miami Airport at 3:20 p.m. The return bus will leave from Miami Airport at 4:15 p.m. on Sundays and make the same stops before arriving at UCF at 8:15 p.m.
Round trip tickets start at around $60. Travelers who book their trip before Dec. 31 can receive 10% off by using the code UCFRIDE10 at checkout on the website. UCF students get a 10% discount year round.

RedCoach offers 13 stops across Florida including Tampa, Florida State University in Tallahassee, University of Florida in Gainsville, and the Orlando bus terminal. Buses have reclining seats, free wifi, and power outlets. The first-class buses have 27 seats, and the business-class buses have 38 seats.
To test whether UCF would be a popular station for the service, RedCoach offered a shuttle service from UCF to the Orlando station from February to July. Travelers were most interested in going to South Florida on the weekends, said Florencia Cirigliano, vice president of marketing at RedCoach.
“If there’s a lot of demand we will add Tallahassee or daily departures,” she said.
